Then we continue to the resort town of Baños, well known for its thermal baths. This Baños mean “baths of sacred water”, which is precisely what the town is famous


We drive South to the Cotopaxi National Park, to the base of the Cotopaxi Volcano, the highest active volcano in the world. Cotopaxi was established as an ecological sanctuary with unusual opportunities for nature lovers. We visit the interpretation center and Limpiopungo lakes (paramo grasslands / Ecuadorian equivalent of the arctic tundra), drive up to 15.000 ft and trek up to Padre Rivas mountain climbing refuge (1 1/2 hrs). We will have to opportunity to touch and lay on the volcanic snow. In the afternoon we spend the night in tha qyuite twon of Lasso at the Colonial Hacienda la Cienega and enjoy their beautiuful gardens.








Early morning we continue drive South via the Avenue of the Volcanoes to reach the Quilotoa lake, one of the most beautiful and quiet lakes of Ecuador with a magnetic color-green glass, located in the crater of an extinct volcano. The volcanic crater is still perfectly, allowing visitors to view its past history and formidable power. We come down from the top of the crater to the edge of Lake. Once at the edge of the lake is calm and relax the most. To return we can ascend to the top of the Crater riding Mules or horses (Optional). Enjoy one of the most amazing landscapes in South America). In the afternoon we travel to the heights of the Central Valley and the resort town of Baños, well known for its thermal baths. This Baños mean “baths of sacred water”, which is precisely what the town is famous for: Some of them are fed by thermal springs from the base of the active Volcano Tungurahua, which means: "little hell” in Quichua.





Breakfast in the hotel. We visit the balsawood birds carving workshop, the tagua (ivory nut) jewelry stores. Later we continue our trip to Agoyan and Devils cauldron, (amazing waterfalls). We will take the taravita (Air cable) to see the majestic Manto de la novia Waterfall. IN the afternoon we return to Quito.
